ARIASSOS

At the very begining of the enterance of the Ariassos city, there rises the splendid monument gate. This monument which shoes the roman souereignty has 3 arches therefore it has 3 entrances so this monument is known as ""three gates"" bt the local people.
One of the suprising faetures of the city is that four thirds of the city has incredibly striking appearance and also has nekropolis remainder which is a moumental tomb.
However, the real city is smaller tahn the nekropolis is term of the ratio. Nekroplises and the city situate on the valley and on the north side of the hill slope and also on the other side of the hill you can see Akkoç village road. But there is no remainder on that side of the road.
Eventhought the reminders are expected to be found at the tops of the south slope of the hill there seems to be none.
At the west side of the valley you can see semi-circle remainder made from rubble andcovered with cut square stones. After some researches is was found out that this remainder is a numphaeum and its water comes from the water spring which is an the high mountains of Akkoç VIllage, situates on the 3 km south of Ariassos.
Nearly half of Nymhaeum is covered with lime stones on the west side of this square there are two cisterns under pavement stones. These cisterns were designed to preserve the water coming by the help at arches, and also to enable the water which was necessary for the public bath. This bath complex was built according to the general order of the Likia Baths.

TERMESSOS

Termessos is perhaps the most interesting ancient city in Antalya region. It is a Psidian city built at a height of 1050 meters in the Taurus Mountains. Termessos constitutes an unusual synthesis of a large number of rare plants and animal species, which are under protection in the Termessos National Park. When turning off the Antalya-Burdur highway (11 km.) in the direction of Korkuteli, the Termessos signpost will be seen 14 km. further on, and Termessos itself is a further 9 km. A visit to this site requires time and the stamina to walk uphill, because Termessos is built entirely on a mountainous area difficult to access.
The inhabitants of Termessos were known as the Solyms but unlike those of other cities of the time they did not come from the sea and were entirely of Anatolian origin. What is known of their history commences principally at the time that Alexander the Great surrounded the city in 333 B.C., which he likened to an eagle's nest and failed to conquer. Termessos, after a gradual decline, was finally abandoned in the 5th century A.D. Some of the remains found there are the walls, the Hadrian's triumphal arch, the cisterns, the theater, the gymnasium, the agora, the odeon and the heroon. Among the tombs which are scattered far and wide can be seen those of Alcates, Agatemeros and the Lion decorated sarcophagi, which are extraordinary

SAKLIKENT

Antalya is known for its mild winters and where bathing is possible most of the year. However, at a distance of only 45 km. from Antalya and at a height of 3000 m. on the Sakli summer pastures is Saklikent, where winter sports are possible during the winter months.

KARAIN MAGARASI

This cave is famous for the numerous paleolithic remains found here, some dated to be 160,000 years old.
Beneath human remains, the bones of cave bear (Ursus spelaeus) and horses were discovered.
Most of the finds are about 50,000 years old, when the cave was used as a shelter for some time.
The findings can be visited in a little museum at the entrance of Karain Cave. But most of the artifacts are now in various museums throughout Turkey.
The pre-history section of Antalya Museum shows more finds.
